I feel sorry for the Chevron stock holders because that company is just run by lawyers, PR firms, and PR firms that are lawyers. It's all smoke and mirrors. Here's the Edelman Public Relations firm blog reading stats - they seem to be really excited about my upcoming movie. Ecuador looks pristine when compared to the Texaco and Exxon pits across Texas and Louisiana.

Issuing a federal subpoena over a housewife's YouTube movies makes Chevron look like desperate jack-asses. That is Edelman's idea of good public relations? This is what the stockholders pay for?

I thought that was quick, I remember watching those interviews and what do you know, less than a month later the supeona arrives...I wonder if cheveron has a commercial youtube presence where no dissenting comments are allowed? Neat to see the Edelman PR are still using an XP OS...either really cheap or Cheveron hasn't doled out enough money to do some upgrades...back to the start:How do they know so quick? So many blogs yet you get the court papers, its almost like XOM layers tipp off Chevron lawyers, or maybe they just incessantly google themselves
They are drumming up more business for themselves.
Lots of companies are still using XP.Migrating a corporation isn't a trivial task, as all of the applications have to be tested and possibly replaced. no company is going to risk a major IT outage just to make a quick move to Windows 7. For a company like Chevron, it might take 18 months or more to migrate the everyone. The corporate environment is completely different from what you use at home.
